WOODCUT MEDIA ENTERS ANOTHER REALM WITH NEW DOC SERIES WORLD’S SCARIEST HAUNTINGS FOR PICK

Series deficit financed and distributed internationally by TCB Media Rights

For Immediate Release:

London –Tuesday 22nd May 2018 – Woodcut Media is currently in production on a chilling new paranormal documentary series World’s Scariest Hauntings, greenlit by  the free-to-air UK channel Pick.

World’s Scariest Hauntings (10 X 1 hour) delves into the paranormal universe to reveal ghosts and horror stories exploring 10 terrifying locations around the globe, from The Ancient Ram in England – a property built in the 1100s that has housed devil worship and murder; the Edinburgh Vaults in Scotland where the ghost of a child has been known to hold hands with visitors; through to The Merchant’s House in New York City where The Tredwell Family still reside and speak to guests despite the last family member dying over 80 years ago, and the story of Mary Gallagher aka the headless woman who haunts Montreal’s Griffintown.

World’s Scariest Hauntings features interviews with locals who have had their own direct experiences with chilling manifestations, as well as other accounts from visitors who have had

spine-shuddering encounters, whilst capturing these incidents on film or camera – resulting in footage and images that just cannot be explained either logically or scientifically.

The deal was brokered by Acquisitions Manager, Sophie Judge for Pick and the series has been deficit financed and will be distributed internationally by TCB Media Rights.

“The paranormal subject matter marks a first for Woodcut, and stories of ghostly manifestations have intrigued people for centuries the world over.   For this production, we have pulled together a strong film crew (as we know it’s not for the faint-hearted), and have selected some of THE most haunted locations, that we know will have viewers gripping their seats,” said Kate Beal, CEO, Woodcut Media.

We were extremely excited when Woodcut presented the premise of World’s Scariest Hauntings to us,” said Stephen Ladlow, Director of Challenge, Pick and Real Lives. “Woodcut make great, well-researched shows and Pick has a strong record in showing programmes that deal with the paranormal and the unexplained. We are now looking forward to giving this show its world premiere at the heart of our schedule.

World’s Scariest Hauntings is shaping up very well and has clear integrity and credibility, something a show like this needs to have for international buyers to love it as much as we all do,” said Jimmy Humphrey, head of acquisitions at TCB Media Rights.
