A+E NETWORKS® UK COMMISSIONS WOODCUT TO PRODUCE NEW TRUE CRIME SERIES FRONTED BY ACTRESS AND PRESENTER KYM MARSH FOR CRIME+INVESTIGATION®

London, 23rd June 2020: A+E Networks® UK has commissioned a brand-new eight-part true crime series, Murder at My Door with Kym Marsh for Crime + Investigation®. The series is produced by leading true crime producer Woodcut Media and is scheduled to air in the UK on Crime + Investigation® this Autumn.

Hosted by former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh, Murder at My Door with Kym Marsh explores cases of innocent people murdered in their own homes by someone they thought they could trust and, in some cases, had known for many years. The series delves into the stories of those that unknowingly opened their door to evil with tragic consequences, as told through the eyes of those they left behind.

Each case is supported by testimony from friends and family of the victims as well as a number of the detectives, police officers and forensic experts who worked on each case.  With crime scene photographs and specially-shot filming at each location, helping to retrace the steps of the murders, each episode will provide a full 360 degree perspective of the intricate investigations in each case and, ultimately, aim to reveal the motives for the murders.

The eight-part series has been ordered by Dan Korn, VP of Programming at A+E Networks UK, and Diana Carter, Commissioning Editor and Head of Talent at A+E Networks UKKoulla Anastasi brokered the deal on behalf of Woodcut MediaFour of the episodes are set to premiere later this year, with the second tranche of four, in 2021.

Diana Carter said: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with the great team at Woodcut Media on this project. Murder at My Door with Kym Marsh tells these important stories from new perspectives and breathes life into what, for many, was a passing newspaper headline, but which has left scars and fissures for those involved which endure to this day.”

Executive Producers for Woodcut Media are Matthew Gordon and Koulla Anastasi, with Guy Templeton (Heists, A Town and Country Murder Season 3) as Series Producer.

Matthew Gordon said: “We are delighted to be teaming-up again with A+E Networks and Crime + Investigation to produce a series that highlights some truly harrowing cases these individuals could never

have foreseen. Sensitivity surrounding the victims’ family and friends has also been paramount during filming in order to relay these stories in their raw form, to create compelling viewing but with integrity.”
