Docs scheduled to premiere on Prime Video (UK & Ireland) this spring with further sales in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia

London/Hampshire, Friday 20th February 2026 – Distributor Sphere Abacus has closed sales on the new Woodcut Media true crime docs Confessions of a Female Serial Killer and Murdered or Missing: The Millionaire’s Babies which are scheduled to premiere on Prime Video in the UK & Ireland this spring.

Confessions of a Female Serial Killer has been picked up by AMC Networks (USA & Canada), Hearst Networks/Crime + Investigation (German Europe), Foxtel Group (Australia), Prima Group (Czech Republic) and will also be available on Bell Media platforms in Canada.

Confessions of a Female Serial Killer (1 x 90’) explores the psyche of one of Britain’s most notorious female serial killers.  Joanne Dennehy, began her murderous spree in March 2013 when she stabbed to death three men, known to her, within 10 days.  Just a few days later, while on the run, Dennehy chose two more victims at random, stabbing them within 15 minutes of each other. Miraculously, both survived. This documentary explores what led to Dennehy becoming a serial killer and why society finds it harder to accept that a woman can commit these heinous crimes more than any man.    Series Producer is Tracey Moore. Executive Producers are Angie Cox (Woodcut Media), and Keith KehoeAli Jazayeri (TPC).

Sphere Abacus also struck deals with Sky (German Europe) and Foxtel Group (Australia) for Murdered or Missing: The Millionaire’s Babies. This title will also be available on Bell Media platforms in Canada.

Murdered or Missing: The Millionaire’s Babies (2 x 60’) explores the story of how three generations of the Chohan family, including an eight-week-old baby, vanish without a trace,  and what begins as a missing persons case becomes a chilling murder investigation. This two-part series unravels a brutal plot to steal a business and launder drug money, exposing one of the UK’s most shocking crimes and leading to one of the longest murder trials in British history.

Series Producer is Ollie Durrant.  Executive Producers are Steve JonesKoulla Anastasi (Woodcut Media) and Keith KehoeAli Hazayeri (TPC).

Both titles are a Woodcut Media production in association with TPC.

Angie CoxExecutive ProducerWoodcut Media said: “Woodcut has explored countless true-crime stories over the years, yet society still wrestles with the idea that women are incapable of committing the most heinous offences, a perception shaped by traditional roles of nurturer, caregiver, and mother. But as projects like Confessions of a Female Serial Killer demonstrate, that notion is fundamentally flawed. We’re thrilled to be partnering once again with Sphere Abacus on these gripping documentaries for Prime Video in the UK & Ireland.”

Will Stapley, Head of Acquisitions for Sphere Abacus commented: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Prime Video, sourcing the most standout True Crime stories, with Woodcut being a key provider. We have had such a strong interest in these two titles, and are pleased to confirm these additional early sales, with more to follow.”
