London/Hampshire, Tuesday 11th October 2022 – Woodcut Media and leading distributor Abacus Media Rights are delighted to announce the new feature length Amazon Exclusive documentary film The Murder of Meredith, ordered by Prime Video for the UK & Ireland and scheduled to premiere in November 2022.

Abacus Media Rights who brokered the deal with Prime Video, will handle worldwide sales outside of the UK, and will be presenting the new film to buyers at the upcoming MIPCOM market.

Produced by Woodcut Media, The Murder of Meredith (1 x 90’) reframes the narrative of the awful events that occurred on the evening of Thursday 1st November 2007, so that the focus of this crime is on the victim Meredith Kercher, a 21 year old British student who was brutally murdered in the university town of Perugia, Italy. Her story led to a media frenzy with dizzying twists and turns, and speculation. Over the years, Meredith’s life and reputation have been pulled apart and eclipsed by that of her then flatmate, the infamous Amanda Knox who at the time was accused alongside Rudy Guede and Raffaele Sollecito of being responsible for her death. Told by those involved in the case, The Murder of Meredith examines the evidence, the egos, and the errors that left Meredith’s family with more questions than answers.
