London –Tuesday 19th June 2018 – Woodcut Media is currently in production on a brand new factual true crime series How I Caught the Killer, greenlit by the free-to-air UK channel Pick.

How I Caught the Killer (10 x 1 hour) takes and in-depth look at what it’s really like to be a police officer working on chilling murder cases.  Focusing on the perspective of the police – former policeman and “Crimewatch” presenter Rav Wilding narrates this series which offers intriguing revelations from the people who solved some of the most challenging murders in the UK and the US.   

Featuring exclusive officer accounts from the scene of the crime, chilling evidence and stylish reconstructions, How I Caught the Killer shines a light on a myriad of murders and an array of outstanding officers who made key discoveries during investigations – from the deductions of the detectives, to the forensic analysis of the CSIs and the heart-wrenching role of the family liaison officers. 

The deal was brokered by Acquisitions Manager, Sophie Judge for Pick and the series is executive produced by Woodcut’s Matt Gordon and Kate Beal.  TCB Media Rights who have provided deficit financing, will also act as worldwide distributors.

“We are really excited to be producing another gritty crime series for Pick, especially as it follows on from the phenomenal success of  Britain’s Most Evil Killers and its international counterpart World’s Most Evil Killers which are now into their 3rd season on the channel,” said Kate Beal, CEO, Woodcut Media.  “This series will also allow viewers to step into the lives of the police, and really experience in great depth all aspects of their challenging and sometimes disturbing investigations.
